Ahh, Huffington Post, the internet Death Star. The world’s first spectator banking website. Come watch a site’s intelligence move in and out like bellows of accordion depending on whether or not there’s ad dollars to be sucked out of any willing orifice.

From their front page item “BACK…

John, simply stated this is one of the many reasons that I love, respect and adore you for who you are…..

Last night, as my head hit the pillow after too many cocktails with friends, I thought about how I’m too old for a 2:30 am bedtime on a school night.  I mentally scolded myself, promised to drink only smoothies, exercise and go to bed at 9 pm the next day.  But right before I turned over to pass out, I checked my Twitter feed and saw a tweet from John Mayer that he was playing an impromptu 3 am show at a tiny bar close to my apartment. Pete was dog-sitting at his boss’s apartment and asleep already, so I sat there rationalizing with myself.  This is ridiculous.  I can’t get up and go to a rogue show in the middle of the night.  I mean, I have wet hair from showering.  I can’t go to a bar alone – and even if I did, it’s probably already packed.  There’s no way I can get enough makeup on in time to make him fall in love with me.  And I have a 9 am conference call!  Turn over and go to bed. And then I sat straight up and said, “I’m going” out loud.  I threw on my Converses and jeans and ran out into the street still wearing my pajama shirt, letting my damp hair get damper from a residual downpour. When I got to the bar, a handful of people were closing out their drunken nights.  Couples were stumbling up the stairs, groups of friends were finishing their drinks and the tables were virtually empty.  I paid the $10 cover and the waitress told me I could sit anywhere, so I chose a table up against the stage and ordered a beer.  About 15 minutes later, John Mayer walked in, said hi to me as he hopped on stage and then proceeded to play a two and a half hour show approximately 6 inches from my head. John would say, “What do you want to hear?,” I would say a song, AND THEN HE WOULD PLAY IT.   The bar started filling up throughout the show, but even at capacity, maybe 80 people were there.   He did some stand-up in between songs and heckled me when he heard the “ding” of my phone getting a text.  He wanted to see it, but after a quick game of verbal tug of war, my squealy texts to Kate remained unviewed.  He played his acoustic guitar with old shoelaces tied on it, intertwining Fleetwood Mac, the Police, Jay-Z, and Tom Petty with his songs, and I sang every word.I sat there alone, watching one of my favorite musicians play a show that I know I will remember for the rest of my life.  Fifty years from now, when one of his songs comes on an oldies station, I will tell my grandchildren about the time I got out of bed to go see John Mayer play at a basement bar in the Village. When the show was over, I told him thank you and I meant it.  I pushed through the heavy doors and saw for the first time what the city looks like covered in the breaking light of dawn.  My hair was dry and I walked home past early runners and shop owners pulling up their grates.  Only here.  I love New York.

you were one of the lucky people! totally jealous but glad you were able to attend!! :D any pictures, videos? :)

It has been decided - when I win the 50 million jackpot in Lotto Max tonight I am packing up and moving to New York to find one of these concerts!!  I also got the Tweet but I live in Winnipeg - wouldn’t have made it on time to see him….lucky girl!

I am so incredibly jealous!!!!!!!!! I live in a small town that I’m sure John has never heard of and I ADORE him more than anything. I have drove six hours to LA and flown 5 1/2 hours to New York to see him. This would really be a dream come true, I can’t believe you even had to think about it….lol

I made this little pic 189 days ago. It’s so rare to meet people who share the same passion for music. Or for life. Do you know that John Mayer fans connect instantly? No matter where you live, what you look like, what kind of cereal you eat for breakfast, you will always feel close to each other. Like meeting another JM fan from Finland and finding millions of common topics. Or accidentally meeting JM fans on the tube and ending up in the pub with them. Or starting a random conversation with another fellow fan which turns to all night of talking and the night turns to a beautiful friendship. And I am sincerely saying: John Mayer fans are the best people in the world. Love you, guys.

True, True, True!!! All the John Mayer’s Fans, We’re people totally inspired by him.I’m so proud of all who are fan of John, we really are the greatest fans in the world. Greetings from Guatemala!!! xD

And I complete one more time … true … so true.

So I had this idea.
Word is John is ill. No one really know’s how ill but several dates have been cancelled which leans toward the idea, he’s not doing so good.
Pass this pic around reblog, or favorite, or do whatever you want to do to bookmark it and tonight at 9pm Standard time we all focus our extrordinary energy his way, blowing all the black illness out of his aura and replacing it with pure white healing light. Reiki work’s and you don’t have to be initiated to use it. Distance healing is all about intention, focus and belief. Do it with me.
Think about spending 20 minutes tonight focusing on sending the light his way.
We owe him that much.

*head nod*

Fur sure. Hope you feel better soon! MuahXx!
Sending many healing vibes your way Johnny! xo

You are in my thoughts and prayers.  Feel better soon!

Japanese her: you're Jewish?
Me: half.
Her: your mother or your father?
Me: my father.
Her: so you're circumstanced?
Next line please John.....

“Stop trying so hard to sound deep. Stop using twice the words necessary. Your thoughts have potential, but your writing is muddy and imprecise.

Also, when was the last time you traveled with just a backpack? That detail is jarring like dad’s voice on the answering machine interrupting some…

John I so wish I had your freedom. We are the same age but at so different places in our lives. I am married with two children, one very difficult to say the least. I have a job that I have had for 13 years that requires me to drive up town and no where else. I took my first “trip” this Feb. by myself, no husband, no kids. I went to New York to visit my brother who is 10 years younger than me and incredibly smart. He recieved a job offer from Morgan Stanley in Times Square after graduating from UC Merced. Visiting New York for the first time was sure an adventure and of course I saw you at Madison Square Garden when I was there. Well point is, enjoy the freedoms that you have earned. You have the rest of your life to stay home and watch re-runs on TV, taking cat naps in the EZ chair while the kids play video games. I personally enjoy your posts and look forward to them, you are the most real “celebrity” out there. You have changed my life by being you, and your music isn’t bad either!! lol I know I will meet you one day to tell you that in person. Still have noticed you following me, your a man of your word right? lol Love always
